Kris' Dream Walkers

I have attached the photos from the Breast Cancer Walk.  What a blast we had!  Thanks to all those who participated, whether I saw you or not.  (There are still a few more pictures to come, from my daughter's phone!)

Hats off to Russell,  Andrea, Karen, and Joey on their quick finish!

Gary and Robyn

Annette and Karen

The empty side of the double stroller was for whoever gave up first... I think they both made it!

You gals are so much fun!  I love having you!

Keith, Shelly, and Gary, let's get walking!  Keith and Shelly came all the way down from their camping trip to do the walk! WOW!

Lee and lovely wife Linda.  Yes, they look thin!  Lee has lost 110 lbs, Linda 65 lbs!

Keith sporting his Santa Claus beard for the last time, as he is now down over 150 lbs!

My cute grandkids

Cooper was woken up early to enjoy the walk with Grandma

Liz and Rachel, way to gather some support by bringing a friend!

Annette and Hubby... way to go!

Ha ha ha... caught ya!  That's Julie with her back facing you...

Julie and Amber

Tai, he belongs to Amber

Way to go, Becky and Jennifer... great mother and daughter team!

Walkin' fast Karen!

Boss and Big Boss- father and son duo

Kudos to Keith for a great finish!
Nice job Cyndi!

Commitment, determination, perseverance... whatever you want to call it, April  had it Saturday morning.  After her car breaking down, taking TRAX, and walking from TRAX to the park, she and hubby conquered the nearly 5 mile walk.  Way to go!

Kris and two daughters walking in honor of Marian Holmes, my mother-in-law, who survived breast cancer...

  4. Cyndi Parkhouse sent me this email. Thought I would share because it touched my heart and might touch others that may be struggling.

So, in church on Sunday, one of the speakers gave a quote that really hit me with my weight loss efforts. It's from a book by Marianne Wilson called Return to Love:

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us. We ask "who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?" Actually, who are you NOT to be? Youe are a child of God.

When he gave his talk this REALLY hit home cuz I had just been talking to someone about my being at a weight loss-stand still and I realized that I'm the type of person that would rather quit something, than fail at it.

Anyway, I wanted to share it with you because we DESERVE to be healthy and we both need to quit selling ourselves short.
