Way to go everyone. Wish I could have stuck around to say hi but I had to boogy through it so I could get to a girl scout event.
ReplyDeleteO' Kris, I so wish I could've been there! My surgery went well and now I'm recovering. I will miss you at the meetings for all this month... :( .Smile.

ReplyDeleteI HAVE NOT QUIT, I REPEAT, I HAVE NOT QUIT! I AM STUCK AT WORK AND WILL NOT BE IN TO WEIGH TONIGHT, BUT WILL MISS YOU ALL.
I HAVE A BRAVO! I CHOSE TO HAVE VEGGIES INSTEAD OF FRIES FOR DINNER WITH PAUL. I ALSO GOT A WW MEAL AT APPLEBEES TO BRING TO WORK AND STAY WITHIN MY POINTS! I AM TRYING. SOMETIMES I FAIL AND SOMETIMES I CONQUER! I WAS HOPING TO SEE IF I HAD LOST THIS WEEK, BUT WILL TAKE A 2 WEEK WEIGH IN NEXT WEEK AND TRY MY HARDEST TO LOOSE 5 LBS!

Cyndi Parkhouse sent me this email. Thought I would share because it touched my heart and might touch others that may be struggling.
ReplyDeleteSo, in church on Sunday, one of the speakers gave a quote that really hit me with my weight loss efforts. It's from a book by Marianne Wilson called Return to Love:
Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us. We ask "who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?" Actually, who are you NOT to be? Youe are a child of God.
When he gave his talk this REALLY hit home cuz I had just been talking to someone about my being at a weight loss-stand still and I realized that I'm the type of person that would rather quit something, than fail at it.
Anyway, I wanted to share it with you because we DESERVE to be healthy and we both need to quit selling ourselves short.
Cindy
